Baseball and softball devices are legal to use in-game but allowance varies by level. Football devices are not yet legal to use in-game.
As of December 2023, in-game wearable sports technology has reached different levels of legality based on the sport and level of play.
- Football In-Game Devices - In-Game devices are ILLEGAL in professional, college and high school in all 50 states. Youth and club use is LEGAL but varies on league by league basis. GoRout In-Game devices are currently being manufacturing as the Rules & Regulations Committee considers it for 2024 use and beyond.
- Baseball In-Game Devices - In-Game devices are LEGAL in all 50 states for use by professional, college, high school, youth and club teams. (Youth and club allowance varies on league by league basis)
- Softball In-Game Devices - In-Game devices are LEGAL in all 50 states for use by professional, college, youth and club teams but is ILLEGAL for use in high school. (Youth and club allowance varies on league by league basis)
